Have 5-25s of these. Not that dumbbells need too much reviewing, but those have been great. Would definitely hop on this if I had a need for higher weights, great deal!

the rubberized coating on these smells like a train yard so best if you can keep them in a garage. I'd hate to know what exotic chemicals these are off-gassing.

Thanks! In for a pair of the 70s. I keeping eyes those expensive adjustable dumbbells (Trulap, Rep x Pepin, etc) but can't bring myself to spend so much on them given deals like this that pop up. I'm slowly building up a collection of fixed dumbbells for really cheap.

My last pair (different brand, adjustable) took a month or 2 to air out. Is it not the case with these as well ?

I'm sure it's a single, but the picture in the listing shows two, and the second picture says "Item Weight 140lb" when I look at the 70 lb dumbbell. Ah, well. Even if a single, 50c a pound and I could use for goblet squats since 44.5lb is the heaviest kettlebell I have, and a pair of 50s too. Single works for me. Thanks, OP!

Mine took like a week then was fine. Didn't have to wash them or put them in the sun or anything.

For the smell. I used dawn dish power was lightly. Wiped down with a rag and then let sit in the sun to dry and air for 2-3 days. Never smelled a thing. I have a whole set of 5-50 lbs of dumbbells and 1000+ lbs of balance from bumper plates I've treated this way with great success.
