Tough call. Do I buy this for my apocalypse kit or do I not support Home Depot since they are helping to cause the apocalypse?

Look up all the facial recognition and bio metric IDing they are rolling out in the stores. That ignores all their wild politics.
Yep for some reason, when my dad shops there, I get feedback surveys to my personal email. We don't have the same or connected addresses, emails, numbers, hd accounts or anything. I have no idea how they connected us other than that we may have gone into a HD together

I remember a time when people were excited for the zombie apocalypse. This would have been a "no-brainer".

Isn't a Zombie Apocalypse just a bunch of "no-brainer"s running around chasing people?

Sounds like loss prevention. No good solutions to that. I wish we weren't tracked, but I get it.
What's the politics angle?

I've only ever had strange connections happen on Facebook (years ago), and it turned out that I'd given them my phone number, which linked me to people that had me in their contacts. Maybe your Dad used your CC at some point (or vice versa). Sometimes it's online stuff. My parents are older, so I end up buying things for them and paying some of their bills, so I get occasional things meant for them. Sometimes I'll put my contact info down on their forms if the communication is important, and I worry they'll overlook it.
It's easy to forget how you've linked yourself.
