It would be okay if they at least replaced the battery before selling it.

You'll be lucky if you get the one with over 87% battery.

eBay refurbished is basically the luck of the draw. An iPhone 15 Pro listed as excellent condition that I bought from a different seller was in fact in excellent, like new condition and came with a 100% battery health with 0 charge cycle. With how annoying iOS is about replacement parts, they either replaced it with a genuine battery and authenticated it with Apple's software tool, or the iPhone I got basically was an open box return that was returned unused and resold as refurbished. Could have been either, I guess. The phone had a Manufacture Date of December 2024 with a First Use date of March 2025 for the battery.

I got one of these in natural titanium color a week or so ago and the battery was 89%. Cosmetically the phone was in like new condition.

The seller is called Tech4C LLC, and they're based out of Carrollton, Texas.

That was the actual listing from December, but it was $604.99 back then during the holiday sales, and not the price it is now. I got it in the natural titanium.

Yep, buying 3rd party refurb is always the luck of the draw. It's why I only buy through Amazon's renewed or eBay's refurbished listing. The return policy is quite generous and painless. Usually the condition is better than listed, with battery health higher than minimum. If it's not, or you just don't like it, just return it. If you get lucky and get a good one, the 1 yr hardware warranty is a peace of mind.

If you have the budget, the regular 17 for this year is fantastic. It's good enough that many tech reviewers are recommending it over the Pros for most users. The pros are better but for most users, the extras are wasted features as most won't make enough use of them to make it worth it.

For those wondering about returns for eBay refurbished, it was painfree and quick. eBay handles everything, you go through the site's automated system, at no point did I have to deal with the seller directly, similar to returns on Amazon. They provided a prepaid USPS label, a QR code that the USPS teller scans, and the refund was sent out the day after the return was delivered.

As good as my luck was with the refurbished lottery, I did decide to return my 15 Pro because Verizon was offering a free 17 Pro to new customers. Metro by T-Mobile was giving me a hard time and a headache with activating the 15 Pro. Their "easy and free" online device switch feature wouldn't work, their store wouldn't do the activation for me, I was told to call customer service, and when I called to get them to do it, they wouldn't let me activate/swap phones unless I switched plans and pay an activation fee. Hilarious part, when I called to have our family plan canceled after getting our new phones up and running with Verizon (2 lines got new numbers while 2 lines ported over), Metro tried to beg us to stay.

I know I'd much rather get it from Apple as you can at least still get AppleCare
