Chopping a few of them up and mix with some sour cream, crema, or plain Greek yogurt makes a delicious sauce for fish tacos.

I had a question about the heat. Here is the answer from Amazon Dufus! :
The San Marcos Chipotle Peppers Adobo Sauce [amazon.com] doesn't have an official Scoville rating listed, but chipotle peppers typically range from 2,500–8,000 Scoville Heat Units (SHU)—considered moderate heat, similar to a jalapeño.
Customers describe it as having a warm, smoky flavor rather than intense burn, making it accessible for most spice tolerances. It's versatile enough for marinades and cooking without overwhelming milder palates.

Pretty accurate. Slow building warm heat. A little smoky, a little tangy, a little sweet and a little spicy. Roast some garlic, Mexican crema(not sour cream), salt to taste. Optional lime and cilantro. A can of this. Throw in a blender. Great dip(salsa) for just about anything

I do this. I use an 8 quart pressure cooker for making chili. I put 2 7oz cans of chipotle peppers in a food processor with a large can of crushed tomato and blend it up. Thats also where I add in any dry seasonings I use.

It makes for some amazing chili.

I love this brand's jalapeno cans so I'm in for one. Not the hottest but great tasting and I'm hoping for the same here. One warning, as with any pepper, wear prep gloves or be sure to fully clean your hands afterwards. Just yesterday, I thought I cleaned them well when thirty minutes later, I innocently wiped my eye...

Love these too. Great with a little garlic and splash of lime in mayo for chipotle-mayo. And of course in chili, or taco meat, etc. I usually blend up the whole can and freeze portions in a mini-muffin pan so I have little pucks to use any time.

I buy the larger cans and freeze a few peppers along with the adobo in little ziplock snack bags. Makes it easy to add to recipes without using the entire can. I always add 2-3 to my instant pot black beans.

Yes if you do the whole 11 oz can, for sure. I would do 1-2 chipotles plus equivalent amount of sauce for most recipes, that will be pretty warm for the average palette. Add more from there if you like it hotter. But don't add the whole can unless you like pain.

Just a reminder that a chipotle isn't *like a jalapeno, it is one, just dried and smoked, but then it is reconstituted in the adobo sauce here, so they can def have some heat. It is a good smoky heat though.
