I have these when they first came out and it sucked... not sure if the firmware update fixed itself yet but that's a bad experience for me

Within concrete built home, this goes nowhere still, unless placing nodes strategically... stick-built flimsy homes, yes...

Still a Google Hardware product. Be careful purchasing. They could skill support anytime without warning. Or they could paywall features. If you want long term stability and control go with ASUS or Ubiquiti

They've done this to me two times in as many weeks with other products. Not sure what's going on over there.

At least it moved my expiring $10 reward from that recent email blast to my actual rewards points so it doesn't seem like they'll expire as quickly.

This was probably the worst wifi product I have ever used. Constant connection drops , mediocre speeds. I got a 4 piece form Costco for $200 and ended up returning it.

Go with eero or deco.

I've had issues with the deco with mobile gaming lag. I had an old orbi system that worked well for years. I went to replace it with a deco system, returned that and got the nest pro. I cannot do a wired backhaul (recently tried powerline adapters, but speeds degraded too much (from 200MB/s to 25). The nest pro works most of the time although i find myself rebooting the satillite about once a week when the system speed tanks and it says the connection to the router is weak. After a reboot, the connection goes back to strong and I'm good for another week. Its definitely annoying but i dont get the mobile gaming lag either.

I was a firm believer in the google mesh network. Gen 1 and 2 was great. THEN the took a huge quality dive and I was constantly having disconnect issues. Since we work at home often, this wouldnt do and I ended up going with Eero. So I cant recommend these to anyone.
