Last time I used a product like this was 10-15 or more years ago and you could FEEL all the farking wires that were in it.
Anyone have feedback on how those things are now? Great? Meh? Just as awful as before Facebook? Thanks.

Curious also and about safety issues since most regular heating pads say in the manuals not to lay on the device or use while sleeping.

This comes in different materials and thicknesses. This is the thinnest/cheapest model. Amazon sells the other thicknesses too, and they even have a waterproof version.

Here's the "better" version...

I have one I bought roughly 5-6 yrs ago from Costco, Safe & Warm brand. I cannot feel the wires even if I lay directly on top of it with no sheets. It is quilted and looks similar to a waterproof quilted pad. I love it.

I have used a couple heated mattress in past years, and I have returned them all. All of them have a common issue -- too hot even at the lowest setting. Wonder if this one will be the same.

Was going to come on here to say the same! Got one as a gift. I can only use it on level 1 of 10 without burning up. I guess you could sleep with just a sheet and keep your house at 60 to save energy... maybe that is the life hack

Anyone who's never used a heated mattress pad is missing out. It'll change ur life. If mine broke today I would pay $500 for a replacement. I was always an electric blanket (goes inbetween the flat sheet & comforter) person until I received a mattress warmer

We put a quilted mattress pad in top of it--keeps it warm but not hot and makes it more comfortable.
