Creatine has been widely studied for it's effects on your musculoskeletal system and the benefits and safety factors associated with. It's been in use since the 70's, and I've been using it since the 90's with good effects.
I know lately they've been drumming up the effects on the brain, but as far as I've seen so far, no actual studies or anything scientific behind that. I wouldn't be surprised, but in the absence of real data I'd say stick to it for working out until there's something more reliable if you're looking for brain benefits.

Not able to duplicate. Not seeing any 25% off S&S Promo. I am only getting the 25% off that is shown on the product details page.

I'm glad this is helping you and I'm sorry to hear about the stroke. I am curious though, was this on the recommendation of a doctor or did you read about this somewhere and decide to give it a shot. No judgement intended, but would be interested to hear if a medical professional suggested it as I've heard a lot about it being used to improve mental acuity but so far haven't seen a medical source with foundational data to support it.

i can't get this to work :/
What I did to get it to replicate, on the item page (Non S&S) click on the coupon, clicked on the link again and selected S&S item and selected the 25% off Q. Went back to the first tab to check out, it only had the 1 coupon knocking it down to $14, but on the check out page there is option to switch to S&S and i selected that, both promo applied.

What is creatine good for, and should i take it before or after the gym?
Creatine supposedly helps with recovery and muscle building after a workout. At the same time, it is also supposed to give energy so a lot of gym goers may take it before workout also. Creatine is a natural substance found in beef. Beef is super expensive, helps with ingredient supply for muscle building, but this less expense alternative is widely used for that purpose.

No double dipping. 4.74 discount is either with normal purchase or 4.74 off (with 25% off) is with SS alongwith normal SS discount for the month for you. So, it is about 4 dollars more than 8.55 listed here, likely for most of you.

Copied directly from the examine.com creatine page:

"Although creatine has been researched far less for cognitive performance and mental health than for physical performance, it may have benefits in some contexts. Creatine appears to reduce mental fatigue in some scenarios, particularly highly stressful ones involving sleep deprivation or exercise to exhaustion.[20][21] Creatine may also improve some aspects of memory, particularly for people with below-average creatine levels, such as older adults.[22][23] There is also some preliminary evidence to suggest that creatine may reduce symptoms of depression in individuals with major depressive disorder or bipolar disorder.[24] That said, more research is needed in these areas and on other cognitive measures before creatine can be said to be effective for cognitive performance or mental health."

Thanks, I'll give it a try.
Not likely something you're going to "feel" necessarily. Also something that will exert its effects over longer periods of time rather than in the course of finishing a single container such as this product. Just fyi

I tried ON Creatine and had issues after a few days of issues, at even 1gram, with chest tightness. Anyone know if that can just be attributed to needing more hydration (I did drink a lot more water) or if it's a brand problem or something else?
Honestly if it was just a few days, it would be hard to attribute chest tightness directly to you taking creatine.

Hard for us to know if you just happened to have chest tightness at the time, but your best bet is always going to be speaking with a medical professional who is familiar with your individual medical/biological history.

Kind of a medical source, kind of not
Yeah that's helpful, thanks - she talks a lot about anecdotal evidence but references a couple of studies, I'll have to chase them down.

I'm more interested to see what they're using to judge improvements and whether there was any testing of the kidneys to see if higher dosages were safe.

This doesn't show me 25% subscribe and save, it only gives me 5%. Is there some trick I have to do here?

Just ordered and I was able to double dip. If you click them both, assuming it's on the product page for you, it works.
