Creatine has been widely studied for it's effects on your musculoskeletal system and the benefits and safety factors associated with. It's been in use since the 70's, and I've been using it since the 90's with good effects.
I know lately they've been drumming up the effects on the brain, but as far as I've seen so far, no actual studies or anything scientific behind that. I wouldn't be surprised, but in the absence of real data I'd say stick to it for working out until there's something more reliable if you're looking for brain benefits.

Not able to duplicate. Not seeing any 25% off S&S Promo. I am only getting the 25% off that is shown on the product details page.

I'm glad this is helping you and I'm sorry to hear about the stroke. I am curious though, was this on the recommendation of a doctor or did you read about this somewhere and decide to give it a shot. No judgement intended, but would be interested to hear if a medical professional suggested it as I've heard a lot about it being used to improve mental acuity but so far haven't seen a medical source with foundational data to support it.

What I did to get it to replicate, on the item page (Non S&S) click on the coupon, clicked on the link again and selected S&S item and selected the 25% off Q. Went back to the first tab to check out, it only had the 1 coupon knocking it down to $14, but on the check out page there is option to switch to S&S and i selected that, both promo applied.
Thanks!! That worked like a charm!! Repped!

The one at Costco is a little bigger. This one is still cheaper.

I'm a big proponent of Creatine and if appears to buffer my joints and draws water into the muscle, making them larger and fuller. It's good when bulking but can make a person look a little 'washed out' if cutting. I do cycle it and helps to give a great pump at higher reps. You do need to drinks lots of fluids while using it, therefore increasing your water intake....which is a good thing. Current studies have seen more benefits from increasing the dosages from about 5mg to 10mg. I take it before and after a workout. I could only get this deal for 11 bucks but that's good enough, thanks!

In for 1.
There are many experts here on SD, but I would like to offer some random information about creatine.
1) Non-hormonal. Has nothing to do with testosterone, estrogen.
2) Been studied for decades. Shown to be safe at even "unreasonable" levels of dosage long term. (I have personally taken creatine on and off since 1997.)
3) In real world talk, this stuff is good for high intensity types of exercise. It won't/doesn't have the reputation to help you during a marathon, but you can do 1 or 2 extra reps on a 65% of your 1 rep max or more. I.e. if you can lift a weight 8 times, on creatine, you'll be able to lift it 9 or 10. (This is not gospel, or a guarantee, this is a concept. It can also increase your sprint speed by a LESS than significant amount, i.e. less than 5%.
4) Has recently been hinted to have some promising cognitive benefits including Alzheimer's prevention.
5) Both Tim Ferris (Author of 4 hour work week, and Biohacker) and Bryan Johnson (Some exec who sold his company for 200 million and decided to become an Anti-aging fanatic. Wrote the Blue-print) as well as countless others take creatine daily. Personal note: if some guy who is 200 million times richer than me, smarter than me, has more time than me, and is backed by a team of doctors and researchers takes this stuff; I'm taking it too!
6) Side effects. Weight gain (water weight. The first time I took creatine, I gained 7 pounds.) And thirst.
7) Fun experiment. If you are a casual bowler, dart thrower, or basketball player, who has some skill. Try a) taking creatine for a week or so. b) playing chess for about 10-15 minutes. c) then try said hobby/sport. I swear by all that is holy that it's a hack to put you in the zone! My personal theory is that it forces extra water into your brain, and your hand eye coordination improves.
8) Most of us here are adults, but both? (I'm not sure if they are the same entity) Olympics and WADA, all levels of college, professional, fighting, and all which other organizations allow creatine. It's not banned in ANY sport.
9) Which makes sense because it's in beef, fish, AND we make some of it on our own.
10) I get absolutely nothing for sharing this. I'm just trying to help. And if in anyway, I am able to improve the quality of life of my fellow Slick Dealers, I'll take the extra karma points.
