I prefer Crocs for the extra ventilation holes in the top of the shoe. The Birkenstocks have an adjustable heel strap, so that may be a win for some people. But I like that the Croc heel strap easily flips between the forward and reverse positions. If you adjust the Birkenstock strap tighter, it may not rest as cleanly in the forward position.
