They have made these such a nightmare to use. If you try to use it on something exactly $10, it will cancel the transaction and you won't get your certificate back. You can bother customer service and then they'll tell you to make an order and they will apply a $10 discount. Only after you make the order will they mention it has to be something shipped by Best Buy and other stipulations. I ended up just buying printer paper because everything else is so overpriced.

It does not have to be shipped by Best Buy. I bought printer ink and it was sold & shipped by HP. I'm guessing it depends on the seller.

I literally had this in my cart until I realized I didn't get the certificate
Can you use this on any gift card? If so, which ones? Or It has to be physical or digital?
What is the best thing you can get with it assuming you don't want to spend extra money? Are there any cables or USB flash drives for $10 or less? So if the total cost is less than $10, you just lose the remaining certificate balance? Or the pretax amount for the order has to be a minimum $10 for order to go through? I still have about a $2 balance left in my last $10 best buy certificate from the last order I made a while back. I had saved up like 3 of those $10 best buy gift card certificates from the ring order thing a while back and bought something and still have about a $2 balance.
Are there any cables or chargers or anything like that which is worth it where it's around $10 so you basically just pay the tax for it where the total comes to below $10 or so? Someone mentioned if you buy something for $7, try to buy another thing for a bit less as a filler? Someone mentioned a power bank that is $9.99 but said that didn't work because the order has to be a minimum of $10 before tax?
Someone mentioned buying printing paper and that seems to be $7. So would that be the best option? But find another item that is $2 or so so it would be $9 and total after tax would be below $10? I notice you could buy AA or AAA batteries. Can you do this? If so, does the total amount need to be minimum $10 or not? What items are good for this?

Could you buy like 2 packs of batteries where it cost $4.50 each so it comes to $9 so after tax it would be a bit under $10?
Could you buy 2 packs of batteries where it cost $4.99 each so it cost under $10 before tax but more than $10 after tax? Or the minimum pretax order has to be at least $10 so you would just pay the $1 additional tax?
So the only gift card you can get is a playstation gift card? I don't play video games and haven't for a long time. So if you have to use it for something, it makes sense to use it for this?

I considered a bunch of different items, but none were compelling enough, so I got desperate and settled on an Anker 30W nano charger [bestbuy.com], which is nearing the end of a sale period for $11.99.
Two bucks and change for an Anker product isn't too bad. Shipped free as well.
Ugreen his a similar adapter for the same price [bestbuy.com], and it can be found in BB stores.
It supports the optional 12V PDO output profile, for those who seek that feature. Otherwise, it's a coin toss between the two.
Promo expires at midnight, CST.
