I've had a Walmart version of this in my vehicle since I started driving 30 years ago. The hinge is broken, and the fasteners are long gone but all the parts are mostly still there. I think I paid $20-$25 back then. Not a bad deal in today's money, I would say.

It has been interesting, having a couple properties and a shop, I always need tools, some high quality, some ultra cheap.

I'm a fan of some Harbor Freight items. Paint brushes (disposable chip brushes, quality discount reusable stain brushes, etc.), cut off wheels, moving blankets, all manner of plastic gloves; with stuff like this, typically the prices can't be beat. But I've had real hardware items like a vacuum, cheap cordless drill, and more, all be complete trash, designed for the landfill. Including a mini screwdriver set with pot metal so cheap the bits stripped the first use.

Amazon is stepping into this space. I purchased a cheap ratcheting screwdriver. Solid. The bits are great. Super cheap on sale. A folding box cutter that was so great, cheap, and comfortable, I bought a second one.

So if I were anyone considering this, I would look carefully for YouTube reviews of both.

This a good set for the price. Has multiple pliers, tape measure and box cutter. Most basic sets don't include all of these.
