From Spain, but oil comes from multiple countries. Not one source

So buyers will have a hard time tracing whether this is real olive oil or blended oil.

Multi countries on the label means a blend of any type of seed oil. Cheaper just to buy a seed oil because that is essentially what you are getting.

If it's a blend, why aren't they labeled as a blend? The ingredient says olive oil.

Multiple countries on the label indicate it is a blend which is the only regulation required.

Most likely blended oil

I buy all my olive oil from local Mediterranean shops that import their stuff directly from the Arab countries.
Pure original virgin olive oil.

But it's blended olive oil, correct? I wouldn't care if my olive oil is a blend of Greek and Italian olive oil for example.

Really do not know what type of oil blend it may be any seed oil such as Canola, Sunflower etc.

i think you are misleading people, or just misinformed. If label said pure or light - your statement would be correct. For EVOO label - blended would mean that is is mixed with EVOO from other countries, or in rare instances ( Moroccan regulations) would allow for some minor deviation to this.
Labeling EVOO but mixing with other seed oils is Fraud - not saying it doesnt happen, but most large companies would not risk that. ( look up Adulterated oil)

This is the reason multiple countries are listed there is no liability the company can simply say they did not know what occurred in the other country where the oil was processed.

that is absolutely NOT the reason, but again - you are full of assumptions and wishy washy replies. Company labeling final retail product is fully responsible for it, so "i didnt know" does not hold up in any court. In this specific case of this specific EVOO - countries listed are potential suppliers of the mixed EVOO - not any other seed oil.

The company is arousing suspicion, not the consumers making assumption. Why must a bottle olive oil come from like 6 countries? If it's one country, it's much easier to hold the seller for false advertising. For 6, the seller could say, well, we audit our suppliers and surely enough, it's real olives they are using to supply us". Remember, their suppliers can also source from multiple suppliers and it will be extremely difficult if not mission impossible to trace down everyone for authenticity. So instead of 6 suppliers listed on the bottle, you're looking at possibly 15 or 20.
