If you want an actual gps tracker it's going to be multiples times larger and more expensive, require a sim card, and have a battery life of weeks, not months. It's an entirely different class of product.

This product does not have a built-in GPS; it estimates its location by communicating with a Samsung smartphone and using the smartphone's GPS. In theory, a Samsung smartphone with GPS enabled needs to be within a 120 m radius, and in practice, it needs to be within 30–50 m.

For average users, use airtags with iphones and samsung tags with samsung phones. People will argue about which is better, but it doesn't really matter which is better unless you have both phones.
