Backorder deal is much better than sold out deals. At least you are on queue and guaranteed to get one. If they use Sold out system, you will never get anything. Why? Because once it's back in stock, scalpers bots will not give you a chance at all.

Note that nvme with healsink won't fit to some motherboards. My motherboard has stackable two slots and the cover that goes on top of the stack is heatsink itself

The performance will typically be better with a manufacturer-installed heatsink. Just don't install the cover if you want the heatsink version.

These deals make me sad everytime they pop up. Still one of the better deals lately but I remember getting this exact drive just at $100 after tax immediately after it released. Still my main gaming drive and has worked flawlessly for everything but so hard to justify at these prices.
