Nice looking shoes - best for outdoors only unless you only walk on mats or carpet indoors - squeaky

Need to replace my Merrell Moab hiking boots, keep reading that trail runners are good for hiking. Would something like this be just as good as the Merrell's for hiking trails with compact dirt/sand, and rocks? Price is very tempting as most other options I'm seeing are $80-100.

I use some New balance Crag, they are trail running shoes which are discontinued the only way I can get them is used and thoroughly enjoy them for everyday use including hikes I've also purchased some Hi-Tech trail running shoes from Costco which are cheap and very comfortable these are a little bit more stiff so work better on Rocky terrain and are still soft enough to be used for everyday. even though they are cheap for me they are a good shoe, they do run a little small in my opinion so I use a 9 instead of my usual 9.5
