These are glued together junk that can't be repaired once they wear out. Allen Edmonds are stitched and resoleable

They're resoleable stitchdown construction. They can be repaired when the outsoles wear out.

EDIT: I'm a moron who was looking at the wrong product. These have a fake welt with no stitch marks, so they're almost certainly glued together, not stitchdown.

Buyer beware! Rose anvil cut a similar pair down the middle and he was very critical about some very misleading advertised "features" that may or may not been true. Def not built like sandals with the full length cork foot beds which is a shame because if they were they might appeal to some. Certainly not worth the MSRP.

zero tread on the sole. hard slip and falls waiting to happen. these are are not for snow. or wet surfaces. i'd wait for an Allen Edmonds sale and see if they have any boots with proper Vibram soles.

Name one "misleading advertised feature". These were never advertised as having the sandal footbed. Instead, they have a leather midsole and high quality removable insole. I can think of a lot of people who like that combination. They don't even have a cork strip lining the midsole that people sometimes feel is misleading.

These are on sale for $105, not MSRP, and they're resoleable. People are being critical of them for reasons that don't match reality.

EDIT: I'm a moron who was looking at the wrong product. These have a fake welt with no stitch marks, so they're almost certainly glued construction, not stitchdown. They DO have the cork liking that makes it appear to have a cork footbed, which it doesn't. The midsole is fiberboard, not leather.

Your link took me to a video on a very different birk boot.

Surprising to me to hear somebody would be cross shopping these two brands. Birks fit my slightly-wide feet well. AE regulars are too narrow and their wide is a EEE which is too wide. Obv YMMV

That was just his last video and the construction not the style are similar.

Has the Stalon model which is closer. I'd like to point out that one of his criticisms is that they present a thin external cork mid layer but further inspection reveals it's just for show. And yes I do know they make boot/shoe versions constructed with the sandals style foot bed.
