Showing a coupon on the page making it $51.52. Very sweet deal.

No coupon on my end, but $57 is low enough for me. In for one.

Lucky. I bought it a few days ago at the higher price, but used the coupon to get it to $57. I bet if I waited I could've used the coupon to get it to $51 like you.

These are on fire sale because they are not legal for fighting game tournaments. Plenty of concerns about firmware and software issues, but generally fine for casual use.

Sorry, not trying to be smart, but do you have any proof that they aren't tournament legal? I tried finding something online that states that but don't see anything.

I'm not into the fighting game scene, but from what I understand, cleaning SOCD (Simultaneous Opposite Cardinal Directions) on this controller needs to be manually enabled. A tournament legal controller must have SOCD cleaning enabled by default without an override (meaning zero chance SOCD cleaning can be disabled).

Controllers that allow SOCD are generally banned, even if you can clean the inputs.

The same is true with customizable buttons for macros. Even if you can lock out the buttons and disable them completely, even having the button on the controller is not allowed.

8BitDo's generic naming conventions complicate searching about this controller and its software, but it seems like SOCD filtering is always on and defaults to nullifying conflicting inputs. That complies with Capcom Pro Tour 2025 rules Attachment C 4.2.3 governing SOCD handling, and is also one of the allowable configurations under EVO's controller rules. CPT rules limit attacking actions to 11 buttons but permit more buttons to physically exist provided that those additional buttons are disabled; EVO does not specifically limit the quantity of physical input mechanisms a controller may have (though other rules impose practical limitations). YMMV per your specific tournament, but it looks like if a generic leverless controller would be legal, so too would this. (support.8bitdo.com/faq/arcade-controller.html, sf.esports.capcom.com/cpt/rules, evo.gg/rules)

That's what I thought. I've seen someone mention that this leverless isn't tourny legal in another post for this item, and I just don't think they're right. From what I know and from researching online, this thing is perfectly capable of being used in a tournament. Of course, that is if you comply to the rules you stated in your post.
