The Taiwan-made Gearwrench stuff is great, while their Chinese-made tools are almost all complete trash.
You can't rely on the Amazon product descriptions to correctly reflect COO.
In this case the pic of the back of the box on the Amazon listing shows China/Vietnam as COO.
The popular version of the 232pc (80949) [homedepot.com] gave you racheting endwrenches and 90 tooth softgrip ratchets in exchange for skipping the 1/2" drive ratchet and sockets.
This version (GW72LLCBMTS) gives you 72 tooth ratchets, nonratcheting 12point wreches and no 1/2" drive hence the cheap price.
The 243pc all 6point set (80966) [homedepot.com] has a much better selection of tools but does not go on sale as often or as cheap as the less desirable sets.
