Yeah - I would think anything plastic similar to this would likely have the same result. We have a rolling version uses the roller and static electricity to extract the hair and release it in a chamber inside.

I got one of these last sale. Doesn't work super well. I forget the name, but the glove that you put on like a mitten and rub back and forth (teeth point separate directions) seems to work better for husky hair removal than anything I've seen so far.
