I just spent a similar amount on a 9800x3d 9070xt build that surely wouldn't compete with this. That said, my build is in a fractal terra so completely different form factor / use case. Probably $200 in various upcharges playing into the form factor.

all of that is to say I think this is a good deal, especially if you dont want the hassel of finding an affordable 5080 which are hard to come by and then building it, which isn't for everyone

Got this same computer from best buy last week for $1949. I've been using it the last week and everything seems solid. Even at this higher price it's less than building it yourself with the current ram pricing.

$300-500 less than sourcing all the parts yourself at current prices and building it yourself.

Which was that? BB had an iBP with that CPU and GPU for 1650 like 2 weeks ago...

Out of desperation and against my better judgment because of my previous 2020 issue with Best Buy delivering a computer three towns over and not refunding me. I ordered this in november when it was on sale for $1780is and the gpu didnt work properly. I documented the entire return process and even video'd the gpu not working properly. Returned it and Best Buy is refusing to refund because whoever checks computers at the return warehouse lied and said parts were missing. I did a chargeback with my credit card and they sided with Best Buy despite all my evidence proving the return, and Best Buy responded with a proof of delivery to me. I now have to pray a competent person at the CFPB gets my credit card to refund me or Best Buy has stolen $1800 from me.

Dont buy things from Best Buy
