I'm looking for a laptop I the $200-$400 range, debating if i should take my chances with a refurb with better specs or stick with something new.

It's an older Tiger Lake chip, and refurb. What's the draw at $300+? Something to do with ThinkBook?

I have no clue what the difference is between a thinkbook and an ideapad, just want to get my wife a serviceable laptop. Had an HP and then a Dell that had a multitude of bizarre issues, swore I'd never buy those again so I'm looking at Lenovo. Thanks for the link, shame I missed that one but I'll watch if it comes back.

I've been happy with Lenovos for the last decade or so. I've gotten a couple of other things (HP and Asus) in between. My 11-year-old Lenovo laptop has outlived either of those.

there is a lenovo on newegg with 40gb of ram that is brand new open but, but no returns, search lenovo v15 g4 on newegg. its $425 + $10 to ship.
