Deco management is app only and frustrating at times.

I have Deco M9 Plus (3 of them) throughout the house for the last 3-4 years. Would these work well together with M9s?
No. Don't mix old and new tech. If you add new to old tech, your new will only act as old tech.

I think only if you use the "old tech" as your primary or main.

This vs asus ET9. Seems like the asus has better price and more features.

I've been running 4x XE75's. The Deco hardware is nice, software (app only) is clunky and frustrating, but it works. My units do mixed wired and wireless backhaul without any issue, and adding/removing APs works without any real issue. I've also used them in both Router and AP mode without any issue. I'm moving to a UniFi setup simply because I wanted more control and faster management response times, but for the basic user Deco is usually what I recommend.

Question about the Decos. I have 4 X55Pro's and having issues throwing error backhaul speed low on 3 of the hardwired on's ive replaced cat5e patch cables to and from deco, modem, switch and patch panel and still have the same issue.

They don't show it in the pics, but I assume one of these has to be wired to your modem/AP, right? And then you can optionally wire the backhaul, as well.

I just want to be sure these aren't just fancy range extenders.

Side note but serious question: has all the anti-TP Link/China fear stopped or is there still concerns about these getting bricked at some point? I mean, these days anything is possible from day to day, but in general?
All three satellites are identical and interchangeable - any can be connected to the modem/ONT.
Wireless or wired backhaul given the tri band.

I have six. Easy setup and stable. I use ethernet as backbone.
Can you describe what you mean by backbone? I'm thinking that means I can plug them into my rooms Ethernet and have this project a signal directly from the switch, verse amplifying a signal it picks up? I have cat6 to each room in my house and want to power these from the rooms. Thanks

Expensive the kinksys triband wifi6e 3unit was $79.99 before. Also these get limited firmware updates. Avoid

Correct. You can link them together with Ethernet if you so desire.

Yes but there's only two here.
