Saw 7 grams of sugar and thought... hmm... that's not too bad!

Then I noticed that these things ALSO have two of the cheapest and (kinda literally) shittiest sugar alcohols available: maltitol and sorbitol... specifically, two that are most commonly associated with flatulence, bloating, and -- at worst -- stomach cramps and the like.

Clearly an, er, explosively good deal! Bottoms up! 💩

In case you're curious, xylitol is typically one of the least stomach-disrupting sugar alcohols and -- as a benefit -- it helps prevent tooth decay! Stevia and monk fruit -- while not everyone's taste -- are also generally recognized as safe and non-stomach-churning. But those ingredients are WAY more expensive than maltitol and sorbitol, which is why you see the latter two in the cheapest chewing gum, for instance.
