Seems like a pretty good deal. I liked Tello when I tried them, but that was back in the Sprint coverage days I think. They are T-Mobile coverage now, but a top benefit was their support quality iirc. Generally positive experience from me.

Yes, I agree. While there have been posts on SD lately complaining about customer service, all of my interactions with support have been great. I contacted them two weeks ago because I redeemed $20 in Tello dollars to a paygo balance last January, then they changed the referral program to make earning more difficult for the referrer. I complained that I never would have redeemed that much knowing about the plan changes and asked them to convert part of the balance back to Tello dollars. They responded within hours with a full refund of the order from almost a year prior and restored the $20 in Tello dollars, even though I had used about $3 of it. Since our line is on a $5/month plan, that will give me another four months of service!

Tello is good to go. No extravagant fees like Mint. And this is month to month, averaging $17.50 a month for a year, if you keep it that long.

Had I not just ported to US Mobile (annual) like last week I would jump at this!

Been with Tello since 2017, after the decline of the so called free RingPlus.
The biggest headache was when Sprint shut down and Tello had difficulty migrating to T-mo.
Mostly ok, with the exception of not being able to use your referral dollars to $0.

I had to fight to cancel Tello. I know there are plenty of happy users but I was not that lucky. They had some kind of 4G upgrade and I had no service for over a week.

They had me testing / dumping logs of the same thing over and over and over. Was a joke. After about a month and a half I finally was able to cancel.

We apologize for the inconvenience.

We tried calling you at XX but unfortunately could not reach you.

Unfortunatley the 5G update issues are still persistent without a resolution, good news is that the updates to resolve the problem should come up in the next couple of weeks or during this month.

If you would like to wait until this is solved we will offer compensation, or if not we could definitely extend a refund for the unused services.

We can also recommend wiping the cache partition of the device, trying all the networks available except the 5G network, and seeing if that helps with the unfortunate situation.

How does it compare to Mint Mobile? Has anyone on Tello experienced problems with 5G service or internet connectivity on the Apple/Google Pixel 8+ phones?

I've been using Tello for many years. It's been pretty solid. Customer support is much better than other MVNO. I once lost quite a bit of my data and minutes, but they reinstated them for me. Referral used to be better, but now it requires an invitee to remain with Tello for 3 months for the inviter to get the credit. A few great things about Tello is, you don't lose your Tello Dollars even if you port out for as long as there is a new account activity in 6 months, so you can take advantages of port deals and still come back to it. Another benefit is, minutes and data roll over for as long as you renew your plan in advance, such as the day before the renewal date.

Just signed up a new account yesterday for a family member. Is there a way to take advantage of this deal now?
