Had this desk years ago, would not recommend. It is cheap, yes, but to the point of disintegration. I remember I got a large cut on my forearm when turning because part of the chipboard was, well, chipped. Ended up destroying it and building my own desk years later. I'd say you're better off even with Ikea stuff, or using a butcher block like I did.

For the amount of effort it took to set this up, not worth it.
