These are the mids, historically Hoka doesn't typically introduce one for every new model. The 6s were the first time they followed up with the corresponding mid after the 5s had their own. Will be interesting to see if they continue the trend with 7 mids.

Yeah, get "GTX" (Goretex) only if you have no other option because you're going to be hiking in the rain or need to step in water; this applies to all brands. Otherwise avoid at all cost. I didn't realize this and always wondered why my feet were soaked at the end of a hike. I recently got some regular Speedgoats and was finally able to finish a long backpacking trek with dry feet.
