For a laptop, yes, definitely.
For a desktop or docking station, I prefer one with a 2.4ghz dongle like this.

If you don't mind spending up, I'd recommend finding a mouse with a free spinning wheel too. It's a game changer.

The dongles have transmission issues. Too tiny to have a good antenna. I've used plenty. All garbage.

I'm using a Logitech M535 at the moment. It's out of date but it works great. I've used other brands and prefer Logitech, but I'm sure there are other great ones out there, and maybe some of them are cheaper.
