The active ingredient in normal or original Dramamine is dimenhydrinate while this "less-drowsy" one has Meclizine. I find Meclizine to be as effective as the dimenhydrinate but has no drowsiness. Bonus on the price... heck, even the full price on Amazon is better than your local CVS or Walgreens.
