Common misconceptions, stainless steel is just resistant to rust, depending on the amount of chromium. If exposed to harsh conditions, or it's a low grade stainless steel, it will rust - just a matter of when.

This brand is pure trash and forget about getting any warranty covered. Their default answer is it was your fault. I have a set of "rust proof" knife set. First they went dull in a few months and second they started to rust. When I claimed warranty replacement they blamed me
Even a $5000 knife gets dull over time.

It's almost like you went out of your way to miss the rusting rust proof knives part.

Rusting too. I didn't want him to feel that it was actually his fault. If you don't take care of them they will gain rust.

I don't understand. Stainless steel doesn't rust. I've never had a knife rust in my life. Why are they rusting? How is that even possible?

Don't put your knives in the dishwasher. Even the most expensive ones will rust that way. It also dulls the knives from bouncing around in the dishwasher.

The fact that you are complaining they got dull in a few months leads me to believe that you also didn't wash these knives correctly, which lead to them rusting. You should take the time to research kitchen knives, what their wear expectancy is, and how to properly maintain/wash them. Maybe you'll be more successful next time.

Maybe you would be better off with a set of Walmart knives.
The higher quality the knife... the more susceptible it is to rust.

[High carbon knives use steel with a significant carbon content (0.6%+) for superior hardness, razor-sharp edges, and excellent edge retention, favored by professionals but requiring diligent care as they are prone to rust and chipping. These knives need frequent handwashing, immediate drying, and oiling to prevent corrosion, offering unmatched performance in exchange for higher maintenance than stainless steel.]

...bouncing around...? Is your dishwasher made by Gravitron?

Nothing says you don't know knives more than your comment. This is 100% on you and the company is correct. Learn how to be responsible and take care of your stuff.

I can't comment directly on these but I got a nice set for my wedding almost 12 years ago and I never had any rust. As for any warranty, the handles on 2-3 of the ones I had a two or three bolts that had a little corrosion and when I contacted Zwilling the second time (first time no response during covid, but I had nothing better to do...) they took the knives back and replaced them all with brand new ones. YAY! I wash them by hand, dry them by hand, and hone them after drying. At least 2 swipes on each side, alternating sides as I do it.
Also the ones that are being sold on this link I couldn't see the discounted price.
Also to note, mine are made in Germany and these are made in China, which I would pass on. I don't trust the quality of Chinese made SS. And I'm a Chinese American.
