LOL I just realized this is electric. That's crazy, for some reason I thought it's something you'd manually pull down lol.. but that wouldn't make sense ha.

I'll wait till a company makes a smart one so I can be even more lazier "Hey google, bring down the tv/monitor!".

I think the point of this one with remote is you store it flush with ceiling when not used, and only pop it down when you're using. If stationary is OK, then yes, this version is unnecessary.
