It's the same thing as the regular Anker 45W nano charger. Just added an extra wattage meter screen. Not worth the price bump

The upwards facing port is tempting, perfect for behind the couch. Tired of buying 90° angled USB C cords for my sons tablet

Just a side note, I've owned a lot on Anker products and none of them failed. Even the recalled stuff worked fine.
opposite experience for me. i've had 2x 100W multiport chargers fail, a thunderbolt cable fail, 2x usb-c compact batteries (the one that fits snugly under your phone) fail, hdmi cables fail etc...
to anker's credit, their customer support is amazing. no questions asked, they just send a replacement (all except one were new, the last one was a refurb). no need to send back the product.

Cool idea. It is odd that charging rate isn't a standard feature on every phone and tablet. Crazy to add a screen to tell you how fast your device with a large screen is charging. Phones already have current sensor. I'd prefer screen on cable near the device than on the wall.
I use an app called Battery Guru and I really like it.

Most of plugs are behind things. Making a screen unimportant.

I have a anker battery bank for a few years now. It's one of those with a nice screen. I can confirm that it's very nice to see how much power flows around. Built quality is like a dji drone. It will last for many years.

I also had a couple of their multipurpose chargers go bad. Never bothered with contacting their cust svc though...

If they're like me... All of them. I leave them in every room. Highest use spots get upgraded and the other rooms get hand-me-downs. But it drives me nuts when the "good" charger gets left in the last place it was used or in a travel bag or whatever so I leave one in all those spots.
To each their own - but have battery packs fallen out of vogue? I'd be so annoyed to have wall warts plugged in all over the place. Having a few nice battery packs would alleviate the need for that...

Does the screen effectively take the place of a USB cable tester? Which are around $30 themselves for a basic one.

I bought this for shits and giggles (and I must hate money). The selling point is pretty much the swiveling outlet prong. The screen is cute. I don't see the usefulness for a single charger.

I think it's worth the price. The gimmicks make it fun I guess...

Could be useful. Someone who works on phones and tablets can use this to see if a "dead" one is pulling charge. Most would already have a solution for this, but the charger here would be good in a tool bag.

Love Anker stuff but sometimes I feel like they keep launching new things just to have new things. Kinda like Apple these days Smilie
I'd buy it for the side-facing port that makes it lower profile more so than the screen. How often do you stare at the plug under your desk to know with 2-decimal precision how many watts your phone is charging at? Smilie As a tech troubleshooting tool, it could be handy. For a consumer? Why?

This is actually pretty cool, I've always wanted my charger to say hi to me.....seriously this is a cool concept, way to set themselves apart from the rest.
