Isn't it a little earlier to be planting in the ground?

By the time you get it, at least for my region it's a few days away from the best time to plant Zone 7-9

I have a few of these, the flower buds are kind of annoying in the fall, they get all slimy, ie dont plant anywhere where you'd feel compelled to pick them up or remove them

- Trees: Live oak (Quercus virginiana); Desert willow (Chilopsis linearis) for summer blooms.
- Shrubs: Texas sage (Leucophyllum frutescens); Lantana (Texas varieties); Yaupon holly (Ilex vomitoria) for evergreen structure.
- Perennials: Black‑eyed Susan (Rudbeckia hirta); Salvia species (meadow and autumn salvias); Gaillardia (firewheel) and Ratibida (Mexican hat) for long bloom seasons.
- Grasses: Little bluestem (Schizachyrium scoparium); Gulf muhly (Muhlenbergia capillaris) for fall color and airy seedheads.
- Succulents & groundcovers: Agave, Sotol, Turk's cap (Malvaviscus arboreus var. drummondii) for shade/groundcover in hot spots.
