I have the 12 gallon version of this one (5 HP as well) and I already feel like it's too big. Unless you really have the need for a huge 16 gallon shop vac I would probably consider one of the smaller ones. This is a good price for that size.

What I do like about the rigid shop vacs is the larger hoses and the way that they interlock together, very handy and very sturdy. Overall, I certainly recommend the brand.

Uses non standard filters. Bummer. The Lowe's deal at $50 a couple days ago was better imho.

On the second picture, item D: STANDARD filter vf4000 is the same filter as Ridgid vf4200 just in a 2 pack. So yes, it does use standard filters 2 pack for $30. I have this vacuum and it uses standard filters.
