For the everyday viewer the big difference is sheer brightness. This tv is *MUCH* brighter which makes it strongly preferred for HDR content or in bright rooms. The 6k is ~900 nits at peak brightness and this is ~3000.

I went from a 77" OLED to the QM8K 98". I have 0 regrets. Bigger size >>>> slightly better contrast. Heck, most people assume this is an OLED as well since the display is that good.

The QM7K stands out as a huge 98 inch Mini LED TV that delivers OLED like contrast with far more HDR brightness and punch, especially in bright rooms. The built in Google TV is described as solid, and the sheer size creates a big wow factor that makes movies and sports feel larger than life. The main caveat is logistics, since getting a set this large into a home can be difficult and delivery or installation may add hassle. It is a strong fit when screen size and brightness matter more than perfect black levels in a dark room.

  • The Mini-LED design can provide much higher HDR brightness for bright rooms compared with dimmer alternatives.

    holysinshortprong

  • The TV's many dimming zones can produce near-OLED-like contrast performance for some buyers at the price point.

    Jeff_In_LouisvilleJeff_In_Louisville

  • The QM7K's built-in Google TV interface can deliver a very good streaming experience without needing an extra streaming box.

    danmatk

  • The picture quality can be strong enough that some buyers feel it matches or beats OLED performance in HDR brightness and specular highlights.

    MostBased

  • The Google TV software can freeze or reboot and may get stuck on the Android TV bootloader indefinitely.

    PatrickH2067

  • Large-TV delivery can be risky when freight elevators are smaller than passenger elevators, forcing stairs and extra handling.

    holysin

  • Best Buy's Geek Squad install for large TVs can be handled by third parties, which can lead to long delivery delays.

    danmatk

  • Relying on in-store pickup can require hauling the TV yourself, which can be inconvenient without a suitable vehicle.

Is it too much to ask for a 100" TV with Roku built in. I don't get how Roku can drop the ball so badly in the TV OS.
I have this tv and honestly the google tv built in is very good, was actually surprised. Going to hold off on a streaming bid for now

I thought about the QM8K, but went with the 85" Sony Bravia9 for $4000 (now $3K+).
An absolutely incredible TV for the price. Got to check out both the C5/G5, and still am impressed.

Both my LG OLEDs have tons of dead pixels. Just got my money back with my warranty and replaced it with this.

With all due respect, Roku is complete garbage! I don't even understand why TV's that are sold carry their limited trash OS. Every TV should come with Google that's just my personal opinion.

Larger TV gives way more wow factor. AI Overview+3Mini-LED TVs offer superior brightness for bright rooms and HDR impact with no burn-in risk, while OLED TVs provide perfect blacks, infinite contrast, and superior viewing angles for dark rooms and cinematic experiences, though they carry a slight burn-in risk and lower peak brightness. The best choice depends on your viewing environment (bright vs. dark), content (sports/daytime vs. movies), and budget, with Mini-LED often providing better value at larger sizes.

The QM6K Pro was $1499 at my Costco on Monday, and will probably be on sale again before the Superbowl. Tough decision!
