For the everyday viewer the big difference is sheer brightness. This tv is *MUCH* brighter which makes it strongly preferred for HDR content or in bright rooms. The 6k is ~900 nits at peak brightness and this is ~3000.

I went from a 77" OLED to the QM8K 98". I have 0 regrets. Bigger size >>>> slightly better contrast. Heck, most people assume this is an OLED as well since the display is that good.

Is it too much to ask for a 100" TV with Roku built in. I don't get how Roku can drop the ball so badly in the TV OS.
If you prefer Roku you can easily buy a Roku kit off Amazon for $30 to $80 depending on the kit and use it on one of the HDMI ports. If you can afford $2000 for a set, you can afford another $50 or so on Roku.

I currently have both. A 65" QM7K like this one with Google and I own a Roku Ultra that was a gift. Honestly, I'm not in love with the Google format and I like the simplicity of Roku also, but the remote has no backlighting (like Google) and it has a weird "tab" at the bottom that I find annoying, so I'm still using the Google. Just my two cents.

So the 85 goes in the kid's room?
More likely the bathroom.

The QM6K Pro was $1499 at my Costco on Monday, and will probably be on sale again before the Superbowl. Tough decision!
Looks like the QM6K is $1499.99 in the Warehouse but $1699 online. Difference between the two is the online option gives you free installation and in-wall mounting through Angi

What about if you live in building with small elevator in city? Would be that issue to delivery to get it up on 6 floor? I'm wondering if anyone place order and had issue with delivering that thing upstairs

I have the 65" Q7M, and really like it. I can't see how one could go wrong here.

Expect to tip heavily. Back in ~99ought a love seat in NYC and on delivery day discover that the freight elevator is actually smaller than the passenger one so had to go up the stairs....

The entry for trucks was -1 my apartment was on the 13th floor. Thank God I got a good deal on the sofa because delivery basically doubled it.

If you're moving something like a TV which will break look at the shipping dimensions very very carefully and maybe just get a smaller TV or a projector until you live somewhere where you can get a hundred inch TV upstairs (just my 2c)

With all due respect, Roku is complete garbage! I don't even understand why TV's that are sold carry their limited trash OS. Every TV should come with Google that's just my personal opinion.
My TCL Google tvs constantly freeze. have to be rebooted. etc. All I have to do is pause it long enough for the screensaver to load. If I turn on the TV and leave it on the home screen, it reboots itself the first time, then ten or fifteen minutes later reboots again and gets stuck on the Android TV bootloader indefinitely.

My one and only TCL Roku has never had an issue.
Perhaps this is why the guy would rather have the Roku.

I have an 85 Samsung and seriously debating going bigger. 85" is huge, so I can't even imagine 98". I'm not sure where I'd put the 85"

I might just order and see where it goes..I have to get whole kitchen set upstairs when I did renovation but Samsung did it for me even though they were not clear of their delivery policies.I either don't see anything Amazon mentioned about extra charge for delivery without elevator, that's why I was curious if the actually would do or not.Sucks to live in pre war building without proper elevator.

Also in-store @ $1499.99 you need to haul it back home. Hopefully you have a big enough vehicle or need to rent a van.

Online @ $1699, it gets delivered to your home.

My SONY with Google TV has almost no issues. I had to reboot the box maybe handful of times over last 5 years.
Best thing was that I can run android VPN software to stream videos from AU or UK. Is there VPN software available for Roku OS? (Specifically, I have Windscribe VPN)

My Best Buy has an "Excellent" open box for $1596.99 and the Geek Squad protection is $169 for 2 year and $299 for 5 year. So you could have 5 years worry free and still be $100 off @$1897.
5 year Geek Squad protection on a new one is $449.99, so would be $2449 total.
