Be careful with Sensodyne's marketing efforts. There are all kinds of special names, like "Intensive Enamel Repair" in this case, but the active ingredients are all the same, with the same sodium fluoride (enamel protection/repair) and potassium nitrate (sensitivity protection) levels in each.

That's what I've noticed as well. It's literally the same crap in the same concentration for every single one of their tooth paste without stannous fluoride, so what makes one different from the other?

This one has a bluish-green tube instead of a greenish-blue tube.

No difference. Stannous fluoride has its own anti-bacterial benefits, but it is not as good for enamel as is sodium fluoride, and stannous causes staining.
As for these "deals" on small tubes, I never bother, even if they somehow manage to be a tiny bit less expensive on a per-ounce basis.

Stannous fluoride protects enamel just as well as sodium fluoride, has extra antibacterial/gum benefits, but can stain (mostly an issue with older formulas). Modern versions largely avoid staining.

my theory is just them trying to play marketing games, I would not be surprised if they find that variety in their product line provides a feeling of "I'm getting the better quality item because I associate this label with more value than the other (identical product in diff box)".

Equivalent to the "Graygoose Vodka" marketing "scam" -> create a high-quality perception and sell it without any product differentiation.
