This is a far superior panel to the QM6K Pro at Costco.
This is presently the highest quality to price ratio TV on the market today - easily beats anything else in its price range and more.
I went with the 98 QM8K for $3000 just because it was still so much cheaper than the LG G4 OLED I returned. The TCL holds its own in black levels and blooming, but it destroys the OLED in HDR brightness and specular highlights "pop".
The TV does still have 2 HDMI 2.1 ports so PS5 -> HDMI 2.1 on TV. Then eARC port on TV to AVR. You'd still get full audio to the AVR via eARC since you don't need 2.1 bandwidth for audio and the TV would still get the full video signal with the source going directly to the HDMI 2.1 port. Am I missing something here other than you'd need to have 2 HDMI cables coming out of the TV vs just one?

I returned my 98" QM8K and went with another lg oled. Once you've lived with oled, mini-led just doesn't measure up unless you are going for sheer size (or you need the brightness) like I tried to do. IYKYK.
I disagree. I just went with a C5 after I sold my Sammy QN90D. If anything the QN90D looks better and I I am in a pretty dark room. Might be returning the C5 and either going with the QM8K or wait for there newer models to come out which are supposed to be amazing. Honestly OLED is on the way out in my opinion. Not worth the extra cost anymore

I'm glad that you know what you like and can get it, but I got a QM5K to replace an LG OLED and I can't tell the difference. If they were side-by-side maybe I'd notice something.
The 98 QM7K doesn't qualify for the 10% back, or am I misreading this?
If you click my 2nd link about the Prime Card offers this TV doesn't show up. But it does qualify as I explain below the next quote.

This link need to be corrected, bonus show up when you change shipper to Amazon.
The first link takes me straight to the product page sold and shipped by Amazon. I add the TV to cart, then checkout, and this is in the *additional rewards details* at checkout.

Got this in the early October deal for $1799 using the Amazon Chase card where they give 10% back (cash back came fast & used it as a statement credit)
This is the best TV I've owned and well worth the hassle to get it in my basement (had to remove upper side of a split staircase).
The picture is great & with the enormous number of dimming zones it is as close to OLED that you can get.
Don't know about the Hisense but in my research this TV blew away all others at this price point.
My advice, get a chase card and pounce before the deal is gone (I missed the first deal in the summer by an hour & had to wait till October)
As for the 6k vs 7k, I researched a lot. Compare the specs, not even close. Of course the 8k is better but the 7k is amazing.
I'm a typical LG OLED fanboy (have the G4, C3, C7P) but bought this TV for living room. Couldn't be happier price per inch isn't comparable to what a large OLED costs. Is it noticeable OLED vs Mini Led if they are side by side but otherwise I am super happy with the TV and happy it's Google OS since I can add Nord VPN and stream any Netflix country I could want.
