What's that mean? And does it make a practical difference?

Or Google.

In short, this will most likely not work if you need voice (example, headphone with microphone).

One-conductor mono mic from an inline electret... I can't imagine would work over 12' anyway. It's an unamplified signal; for those distances you really want to be pushing line-level. There's a reason mic cables of any real length should be balanced (usually XLR) for serious applications. I just don't get why anyone would be looking for a TRRS cable of this length, so TRS kinda is the expectation here anyway, IMO.

EDIT: Though I guess the listing itself calling out 3-pole-not-4-pole-ness implies that more people are looking for 4 conductors of this length than I ever would've imagined, so I guess the unlikelihood of it working isn't obvious to people just trying to solve a problem in a way they think should work.

I feel I should have one of these on hand but I'm struggling to come up with a purpose for one. Damn you SD!

Can you recommend one with TRRS?

Sorry, no. The last one, I got, was a long time back. I would search "TRRS" on amazon and pick one with proper length and good reviews.

I thought about that, but I know sponsored results are a curse on Amazon with items like this. But I'll give it a try now then, thanks
