It is a positive. Many vests just come with little sandbags. Iron weights can be easier to deal with.

This is half the price of the Titan Fitness 60LB weighted vest I have. It's a good deal and carrying around 40 extra LBs is still significant.

its good, since they dont break or leak like sandbags. although good quality sandbags also dont leak. if you not sure, there is a 20lbs sandbags vest is on sale right now for about 22$. just check previous listings here.

The sandbags can be a pain to get in and out of the pockets too as they are usually a tight fit.

Zippered version is just $1 more, should be easier to get on and off, well worth it then. Problem with these weighted vests is that they often require a second person to put on, lousy design.

I think my 20lb vest was a little under $20 on sale. Can't comment on leaking bc I normally just leave it at 20lbs.
