I love the brand but my experience with their hiking footwear has been negative…. I see lots of sole separation and I don't recommend my Boy Scouts to take them on backcountry hikes.

Often shoes sold at discount are stored for a year or two in a box. If people store them yet again for say another 3 years they could be 5 years plus old when usage starts, and the foam and glue over time breaks down. Its great to save money, but it can be dangerous if folks store pairs for a long time and then do treks in the backcountry, there's risk.
