Ratchet only needs a 5° swing to turn fasteners in tight spaces
Each SAE and metric Pass-Thru socket does the job of a standard and a deep socket combined
Pass-thru sockets' universal design fits 6 fastener types - hex, square, 12-point, E-Torx, partially rounded hex, and spline
Includes socket rails and bit holder for storage and organization
Alloy steel for durability, and black oxide finish resists corrosion
Meets or exceeds ASME specifications

Had this model almost 10yrs now. Had to warranty it once. Mechanism in the ratchet stopped locking. Still a great tool.

My Craftsman Max Axess pass through socket set gets the most use, and the one I always reach for. Cost was way less then this back in the good old Sears tool blow out days, and now sold as a premium on ebay.

I've had this HF set for probably 10 years and love it. I much prefer the 6 point sockets, less chance of rounding a head.

Okay, so I get that this is good for threaded rods or similar scenarios, but why this over a ratcheting wrench? Seems the function would be the same. Are there any specific use cases or reason to buy this for someone who already owns a sockets and ratcheting wrenches?
