The 77 inch LG C5 OLED evo is drawing attention as a strong value for a premium 4K OLED, especially for buyers chasing the lowest current price on a big screen. The panel itself is described as amazing, and the deal has been seen at Walmart, Best Buy, and Amazon, with some orders stacking promos or membership perks. Warranty talk centers on Allstate coverage for five years at $114, but the fine print excludes OLED burn in. Installation is the main caution, since third party mounting quality ranges from meticulous to unreliable, so the safest path may be to handle the mount separately.

Common Questions (5)

  • No. The price moved from about $1590 to $1641 for some shoppers, and later reports put it around $1675 in central Florida or back near $1999 at several retailers. The deal appears to have ended or become regionally inconsistent.

  • Yes. An LG Partner Store deal is described as potentially better, and the same TV was reported at the same price at Best Buy and Amazon at one point. One shopper also said they got a 77" C4 from the LG Partner Store for a similar price with extra soundbars that could be resold.

  • Several comments advise against it. The safer approach is to have them drop off the mount kit only, because third-party installers have been described as unreliable, under-equipped, or inconsistent, though a careful installer can still do a good job.

  • No. The warranty fine print excludes screen imperfections, including burn-in or burned CRT phosphor. If burn-in coverage matters, a Best Buy warranty may be the safer option because it is reported to cover burn-in.

  • The mount is not included by default; checkout at Best Buy shows the mount must be purchased separately, and the same is assumed for Walmart. The practical setup is to have the mount ready if you want the installers to use it.

Jeez.... I would never let Walmart (or Costco) hired people mount anything on my wall. They can drop off the mount kit, that's it

Tv instalation service always reminds me of the scene in "Four Chistmases" when Robert Duval's character refuses satellite installation because he isn't letting "a sex predator wander around' in his house.

I bought the 77" C4 direct from LG Partner store with 'free' installation and only one installer arrived (on his 10 speed bike with no tools) and the other one never showed at all. I asked the one who did show up how many he'd installed and he said, "a couple". I then proceeded to unbox and install the TV myself with the help of the bike dude and I felt really good about having done it myself. I'd never trust any of the installers that any of these retailers use. It's like the appliance guys that HD and Lowes use. You are playing with fire when you let them install anything. The gas company person who came to fix the leak that the HD guys left on my new stove said he sees several calls a week because of their incompetence.

If anyone is wondering about the Allstate Warranty that's offered on the product page. It DOES NOT cover burn-in. From the warranty fine print: "Television or personal computer monitor screen imperfections, including "burn-in" or burned CRT phosphor"

Best Buy warranty does though, I think that's why some are using them to price match
