Price check says this isn't abnormal pricing, so probably not a SD, but still a good product. Helpful when you have guests and need a few charging places in their room.

I've bought and returned something like 10+ of these outlet blocks (from different brands, not this particular one) because they all have a high pitched whine after a few days. My larger Belkins don't have this issue and I'm not sure if it's just cheaper components in these smaller bricks.

FWIW, I see 17 January 2026 reviews of this particular version on Amazon that talk about quality problems with the unit.

Is it safe or could cause a fire hazard?

I was reading through the negative reviews and some people are plugging space heaters and hair dryers into this thing and wondering why it trips. Like these:

"I use this for my electric fire place & it runs for about 30 mins before it trips. I noticed some yellowing around the cord that has all the plugs connected to it."

"I am disappointed with this. It will not allow a heater to be plugged in for more than a few minutes. The cord gets hot and the heater shuts off/power cord shuts off."
