FYI I tested one of these as an Amazon vine reviewer and the blade would fall out of the razor constantly. They are not safe to use.

a bit a warning, shaving with these come with a learning curve, especially around the curve of your chin. You will look like you got in a fight with a cat for several shaves til you get it. I will say the shave is so much longer lasting compared to safety razors and other shavers imo

This is what we call a shavette because it uses replaceable blades. A straight razor is a single, fixed, heavier blade that you have to strop and hone to keep its edge. These shavettes are generally frowned upon because they don't do as good as a job as a real straight razor. Barbers have to use them for hygiene because they use a new blade for each customer. If you want to shave like this get a real straight razor with a rounded tip or a kamasori style blade. If you just want to upgrade your shave from a disposable get a safety razor and laugh at how much you are saving on blade pack costs compared to disposable cartridges.

I have one very similar to this (probably made in the same place), and it's OK. It's a bit light, which I don't think works as efficiently as a heavier one. For $6 to try, it's probably worth the money.
If you want better quality in a straight razor style, Dovo makes nice ones.
If you want kamasori style, it's hard to beat Feather Artist Club. Parker Director is probably just fine for the money, being more affordable.

will shaving with a straight razor become an obnoxious and conspicuous lifestyle choice that makes people weary to be around me

I bought one from "The Cut Factory" and it's been working well, so I think it's a real YMMV situation. I didn't use the blades that came with it, I used some Derby ones. I had a straight razor when I was growing up, but I couldn't be bothered to sharpen it regularly, so I didn't use it for very long. This style of "disposable" straight razor has been a lot easier for me to use.

Personally, I prefer a safety razor, you can still get something cool if you want it for style, they're safe and easy, and blades are dirt cheap compared to disposable razors

I've been using a DE razor for about 30 years and I picked up a razor like this about 10 years ago. I still mainly use the DE since it is just super easy to quickly get a shave in. I mainly use the shavette to straighten up lines. It is also great if my bead is too long for a safety razor. It can remove long hair easily.
I have only mildy nicked myself a few times in all my years of using it.

I use a very similar razor. Mine has collected some surface rust. Derby razors hold well and firm. I use it to line out my beard. It has been so much cheaper than the Gillette I used years ago.

There are going to be a lot of men that buy this that will soon look like they took a cheese grater to the neck/face. There is a reason why safety razors became so popular. They are easy, cheap, and infinitely safer than a straight razor.
