Metro is locked to its own network and will not work with T-Mobile. It used to work the other way around, but I recall T-Mobile ended up blocking that as well. Don't count on using this Metro device on T-Mobile or any of its other MVNO until it is unlocked.

Stylus has better specs for same price. Don't need cancel the plan just don't turn on Autopay and it will be deleted on 60th day after 2nd due date for nonpayment.

So can I just pick the cheapest plan available, the $40 one, and it comes with the phone? It's showing $179.99 plus tax for me though? I'm so lost.
Just kidding. I'm blind and didn't see the $50 requirement.

Does one need to subscribe 6 months plan before unlock the phone with Cricket?

I received the package and the phone came in what appears to be the factory sealed box. There is no affiliated logos like Metro or T-mobile on the box. A simple brown box. Does it come with the sim already installed in the phone? I haven't opened the sealed box yet. Did you guys all receive it like this, not in a prepaid repackaged box?

no, month to month and you can chose auto pay or not. I use Cricket in Mexico and get 5G in lots of places. At&t has a strong network there, but not in Baja where Telcel is best.

The 2020 was best version. I'd get 15+ hours screentime over days. Never seen that type of battery life again...the Edge 2023+ is a close 2nd. OnePlus 15 may be the new battery king.
I still have the 2020 G Power, battery life 86% after all these years - charged daily 20-70/80%. Beast of a phone with awesome stereo speakers.

Seems like a good deal. Samsung phones tend to emit less microwave radiation. Hard to find one priced this low though. Important: Use Gmail for Google phones and never use Yahoo email (the latter dropped the storage limits from 1TB to 20G, they admit to having been breached and account information reportedly was compromised, abysmal technical support, ...)
