I'm not even sure how you receive spoiled product of this.

It doesn't even require refrigeration.

Last time I ordered this from amazon I received spoiled product, although packaging was intact and expiration date in the future. I wrote one star review describing the case, and it was turned down by amazon, citing some unrelated policy.

Back during COVID or the tail end of COVID around 2023 when Huy Fong's products were still in demand and short supply, there was a period of time where I bought the same exact size jar at a local Asian store, the pepper was darkish because the silver lining on the inside of the seal (inside the lid) reacted with the acidicity of the pepper and corroded. After that, I will look at the silver side of the lining and see if it's corroded or the pepper is not that nice red-orange color of freshness. Nowadays, I haven't seen the corrosion problem anymore, but then maybe because I look for it when buying it.

Use it as a dipping sauce after you boil chicken breast in plain water.
