If anyone is looking to activate 2+ lines, you can get an extra $25 back with a referral code. Also im sure your referrer would be willing to give an additional kickback via PayPal.

That is inaccurate The mods on there are super engaged and from time to time they do need to dispel incorrect information, but have you tried support via their mods? I have its great. I don't see a trend of mods downvoting at all, and not sure how you would know WHO specifically is downvoting that is just some theory that cannot be supported by any data unless you work for reddit. One of the things I DO see is that USM deals are not consistent and that confuses people. For instance USM can go on any of the 3 major networks. If you pay full price that is the case, but this specific deal has two things that differ from "normal" 1. It can only be on ATT (darkstar), 2. You only have 30 days to activate (vs 90 normal). So this is a special deal for a special flavor, and they often don't clearly articulate this which can be confusing to people who are just looking for a deal. So the reco is that you be 100% sure that ATT workd for you first, because this is 1 year prepaid, and if you want to move you will get charged 2x or more to move to another network or you port out and lose any remaining $$$. This is prepaid, you pay no refunds.
Based on how aggressively you defended USM here, the unusually formal vocabulary, and the authoritative tone you're using, it's reasonable to assume you're affiliated with USM. You don't frame this as "probably inaccurate based on what I've seen," you present it as a definitive correction. That's not how most casual users respond.
Ironically, this kind of defensive, authoritative pushback only reinforces the original concern that criticism of USM is met with employees stepping in to shut it down.

I activated Premium plan in early January on Dark Star in central Texas. I am yet to get more than 20Mbps download speed.

I had some initial issues with the eSIM activation where it would not activate on my phone either through the barcode or manual activation. I did the web chat and within like 30 minutes (took a while to get a rep) they gave me a new setup barcode for the eSIM and i was up and running. Been smooth sailing since then. That Stetson Doggett guy has a coverage map https://map.coveragemap.com/ where you can check AT&T in your area vs the other big 2. I was skeptical at first, but it works good in south Florida, pulling like 300-700Mbps down, way faster than my old Helium Mobile plan.

I'm pretty sure that this is referring to transferring to another network within US Mobile (i.e. Warp or Light Speed). US Mobile will charge you the difference ($390 - $149 = $241) to transfer to Light Speed or Warp. If you decide to go to a different carrier altogether, then you probably forfeit the $149 you paid upfront for this promotion.
Thanks for the reply. Smilie I hope you're right. Unless I missed something, it seems like US Mobile could've started that more clearly.

Got an annual plan with Dark Star. getting a max 220Mbps download and 1-3Mbps upstream Frown
I contacted customer service, and they mentioned that they reprovisioned. but got the same results.
if you're in bay area, better reconsider or wait for a deal on other network.

Exactly, I agree. It's exactly what the responses on reddit are like, clearly created by USM people or shills for USM.

Ronin is right. For the network transfer calc though I'm pretty sure they prorate it, e.g. you'd only owe $20 if violating the dark star only condition with a month to go on your year

In order to get the referral benefit, you need a new account that will get 2 lines. (It needs to spend over $100 within a prorated 6 months)

Annual plans count as half, so it has to be $200+ in annual plans purchased in the first 6 months. Which is why I said 2 lines on this deal.

Just to clarify, In case anyone had questions, there are no additional fees or taxes on top of the advertised prices.

In addition, for the multi-line / secondary network, it is another phone number. The second phone number can be used for voice, text and data (uses shared data, on the same phone, 2 eSIMs). Tested with a call to it and it works. In the process of activating a secondary network line, I did not see an option to port in a number (maybe I missed it?) anyway, it was a looooong process to get this fixed. They did fix it and were nice about it but it took 2.5 hours of chatting. I was doing other things so not too big a of deal but keep that in mind. These are the instructions they gave me after the fact

How can I get a Multi-Network Add-On line? [frontkb.com]

but I did not see the option of "transfer your existing number". It gave me a random number at first based on my zip code. Then they had to cancel, try again, then cancel the second one since it showed up as a different line. I think they activated a "free" multi-line to get it to work (third try) then they will charge the $45 on the next billing cycle. Had to manually do that.

Keep that in mind and watch closely in case I missed "transfer your number"

Also I will attach screenshots from their website (pop-up)

As someone who has been with the same postpaid carrier for 27 years, I wanted to do all the necessary research before switching to 'prepaid' and this deal.

Do they ever have sale on wrap plan with smartwatch option included? Seems like dark star does not support companion smartwatch.
