My first hand experience is that Walmart makes returns for 3rd party vendors difficult.

Woot's return process sucks (waiting days to hear back from CS) so that's moot. This is also backed by Walmart's marketplace return policy. My first hand experience with that has been seamless. Walk into store, associate scans the barcode in my app, I hand it to them and walk away. I've also purchased from VIPoutlet through eBay and had no issues with them honoring their free returns policy.
Look at the numerous FP deals for ViPoutlet items, clearly they're worth a shot. Byt as with any online retailer there's a risk of things not being perfect. It's a cartridge game that comes in a plastic case. I honestly don't know what could go wrong, but everyone has their own level of risk they're willing to accept.
