I use this in bridge mode connected to a switch with a 5-server cluster. Works fine if you don't need max throughput.

If your router is TPLink and can mesh with this one using their OneMesh software I would recommend it. A range-extender repeats the signal, but on a different network name. It's possible this would create an issue between your hub and ring camera.
