I ordered this straight from lavazza. 1 month from its roast date. It's flavorless, unfortunately. Ordering from amazon is a mixed bag. Sometimes you get a fresh batch, and sometimes you'll get a bag of beans that fell off the pallet, roasted 3 years ago

Gran crema is the darker roast, which I prefer

I believe Gran Crema has Robusta and Arabica beans. The regular espresso is just Arabica. I've found out I definitely like the blends that include Robusta beans. The Robusta are probably what impart the flavor(s) in this blend that one of the other commenters mentioned that they don't like. Robusta has more caffeine than Arabica and also a bolder taste, which is good if you add milk to your coffee.

It's probably the Robusta beans that you don't like. Get 100% Arabica instead maybe.

Get the super Crema. I love it and the beans do really well in automatics

I think it was the Gran crema, bought in bulk from Lavazza and had to cut it with normal roast. Chocolate and coffee is expensive!

Had that problem too, went with Italy's best on subscription 3 years ago and haven't looked back. Dates always fresh and prices better than Amazon and direct 9/10 times.

They have the Lamborghini blend on sale too. $19.97 (57ยข per oz) w/max S&S. I bought it thinking it was probably a gimmick, but I also thought Lamborghini wouldn't allow their name to be used unless it was good. It's one of the best blends I've ever tasted. Also, it's not as dark in appearance as you would think. They say it's dark but it looks more medium to me. No matter, I bought another bag to treat myself. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B017EVLN9Y

This is about as close to Lamborghini as I'll ever get. ๐Ÿ™‚
